Knee Pain
Knee pain caused by osteoarthritis (OA), or as it’s sometimes referred to: degenerative joint disease (DJD), can disrupt your life with pain, stiffness, and swelling. Affecting around 30 million Americans, it’s one of the most common causes of knee pain in adults. DJD is caused by the gradual degeneration of the cartilage in the knee joint, which usually cushions the joint, causing friction between the bones.
Some symptoms of OA or DJD include persistent knee pain that gets worse with activity, stiffness, swelling, reduced range of motion, and muscle weakness. If you’re experiencing these symptoms, visit your physician to get a diagnosis. We will work with your health teams to help get you pain-free and back to your favorite activities as soon as possible.
